A AMCOS começou na década de 1970 sob o nome de Ujamaa com 56 membros.
Durante a colheita, os produtores entregam as cerejas na Estação à tarde, que depois seguem para o despolpador.
Após a despolpação, o pergaminho é classificado e deixado de molho nos tanques por 8 a 10 horas.
A secagem do pergaminho leva entre 7 a 10 dias.

AMCOS started in the 1970s under the name Ujamaa with 56 members.
During the harvest, the producers deliver the cherries to the Station in the afternoon, which then go to the pulper.
After pulping, the parchment is sorted and left to soak in the tanks for 8-10 hours. The parchment drying takes between 7 to 10 days.
