A estação de lavagem Wolichu Wachu foi fundada em 2017 e atende a 4500 pequenos produtores da região ao redor da cidade de Haro Wachu, no distrito de Guji, na região de Oromia. A média da produção é de meio hectare por cada produtor e após a colheita os cafés são encaminhados a estação de lavagem.
De acordo com o gerente de Wolichu Wachu, 90% do café entregue a estação é da varietal Bourbon e 10% é Typica, por mais que sejam varietais comuns em paises da América do Sul e Central, as varietais presentes na Ethiopia são geneticamente distintas das encontradas ao redor do mundo.

The Wolichu Wachu washing station was founded in 2017 and serves 4500 small producers in the region around the city of Haro Wachu, in the Guji district, in the Oromia region. The average production is half a hectare for each producer and after harvesting the coffees are sent to the washing station.
According to the manager of Wolichu Wachu, 90% of the coffee delivered to the station is from the Bourbon variety and 10% is Typica, even though they are common varieties in South and Central American countries, the varieties present in Ethiopia are genetically distinct from those found around the world.
